Cotton based textiles contribute over 60% to the total exports, accounts for 46% of the total manufacturing and provide employment to 38% manufacturing labor force. The availability of cheap labor and basic raw cotton as raw material for textile industry has played the principal role in the growth of the Cotton Textile Industry in  Pakistan. The performance of textile industry during the last five years has been satisfactory. The market was responsive, the Government policy was supportive and inputs were viable. The industry made profits and re-invested in new machinery for balancing, modernizing, and restructuring (BMR) and expansion. The industry made an investment of approx. $ 6.0 Billion during the period 1999-2006. Textile Machinery worth $.0.8 billion has been imported during 2005-06 (see Table b elow). The major investment has been made in spinning, Weaving, Textile Processing and making up sectors. Import of textile machinery, which is the single largest item in the machinery group, accounted for $ 771.500 million in 2005-06. This shows that investment for modernization of textile industry, which started four years ago, still continues. This resulted into substantial increase in capacities of all products. Consequently, yarn production has increased by 12% and cloth production by 7%. The exports showed positive improvements and cotton textile export grew from $ 9.20 billion in 2004-05 to $ 10.37 billion in 2005-06 and is expected to exceed $12 billion in 2006-07. Still there was a decrease in the total revenue by 4.87% and reached the level of Rs 350.37 million in FY09 from Rs 368.29 million in FY08. A 4.8% decline in revenue, with the increased expenses of the company combined with greater allowance for potential lease losses have led to an 8.1% rise in before tax profit for the period at Rs 222.39 million. The profit after tax for the period stood at Rs 378.48 million, which is 4.5% greater than the net profit of FY08. Considering the profitability of the company, since FY04, the Gross Profit Margin has remained between 9.05 and 20.3. the only exception being a gross profit margin of -24.21% in FY08. A similar trend has been seen in profit margin, between FY04 to FY06 which remained between a range of 5.3% and 9%, and falling to -24.21% in FY08. In FY09 gross profit shootup to 20.38% this increase is due to better performance in 2 009 by the company. The Return on Equity had been ranging from 4.5% to 5.86% until 2006, only jumping in 2009 to the level of 28.95% mainly due to the phenomenal growth in after-tax profit for that year. If compared to the industry, DLL has been successful in having a steady ROE. In that respect, DLL has performed better than average for its competitors. In FY08, the ROE declined to 12.45%. This was primarily because the company s equity grew by 13% on the back of issuance of bonus shares and increase in funds of capital and general reserves. This growth was greater than that in the net income, culminating in a decline in this years ROE. In the FY09 company had highest ROE of 28.95%. Upon analyzing the Earning per share value of Dawood Lawrencepur Limited , we see that it has been relatively increased from 4.45 in FY04 to 13.88 in FY05.  But since FY05 earning per share is constantly following the decreasing trend. Least earning per share observed in the last 6 years is 0.42 in FY07. Since last 2 years company is facing intense competition and pressure from emerging clothing and textile brands and company profit is highly affected. More investors are buying shares of competitors like gulahmed textiles, lakhani textiles e.t.c. due to declining trend of sales and profit after tax, EPS has declined. Decrease in profit after tax also decreases ordinary share holders right in the profit. EPS in FY08 is -4.22 and in FY09 is -3.28. it has been slightly improved but still companys shareholders are in loss. Upon analyzing the dividend payout ratio of Dawood Lawrencepur Limited , we see that it has been relatively increased from 56.18 in FY04 to 238.1 in FY07.  But since FY07 dividend ratio is constantly following the decreasing trend. Least dividend payout ratio observed in the last 6 years is -23.7 in FY08. DPS in FY08 is -23.7 and in FY09 is 0. it has been slightly improved in the sense that company is not showing negative dividends now but still companys shareholders are in loss. LIQUIDITY RATIOS CURRENT RATIO The liquidity position of the company has been increasing. The Current Ratio in FY08 was 1.27 and now rise to 1.502 in FY09. In contrast, the industry s Current Ratio has been actually increasing for the last few years from 0.96 in FY05 to 1.25 in FY08. Yet, DLL s current ratio is still above the industrial average. Moreover, the trend of a declining current ratio is also seen in competitors of DLL. In FY09, the current ratio of the company however rose to 1.502. This was aided by a rise in the Current Assets by 5.99% compounded by a fall in the Current Liabilities by 10.17%. This current shows that DLL can generate a greater income while incurring a lower level of expenditure compared to other companies. The Income-to-Expense Ratio improved marginally to in FY09. Although Administrative and General Expenses did increase, but selling expenses decreased. financial and bank charges, which form a greater portion of the total expenses increased . But since the income component excee ded the expenses growth by only 1.25%, the income-to-expense ratio only slightly improved. DEBT RATIO In previous years Dawood lawrencepur limited relied mostly on debts for financing its assets rather than financing through equity. Since the financial year 2004, the Debt-to-Assets Ratio of Askari Leasing Ltd has been ranging from 0.60 or 0.75. it can be noted that a much greater portion of DLL s assets is financed by debt. The insignificant changes in total assets and total liabilities in FY09 result in maintenance of the ratio at its historical levels. This debt ratio is slightly declined because of companys changing policies of financing. Company is trying to reduce debt financing to maintain its credibility in the market. As a result, DLLs debt ratio has been declined from 0.078 in FY 08 to 0.075 in FY09.

Exploratory Essay on Importance of Computers Knowledge

Exploratory Essay on Importance of Computers Knowledge Importance of Computers Knowledge As of today, computers have confidently occupied the position of the best people’s helpers in almost all the spheres of life. More and more starts to depend on them: medicine, business, production, entertainment, etc. Is it good? What results can it bring? And is it necessary to know how to work on them? To my mind, such computer expansion is really great. Someone fears that by substituting more and more actions with computers, we can lose our place in this world and will have nothing to do. But for anyone who is young and ambitious it is clear that such situation will not ever happen. Computers don’t substitute people, and can hardly ever do it, in fact. They just become more and more skillful helpers, offering people to dedicate their time to more useful activities and to apply their knowledge and skills in more intelligent spheres. Is it bad? Of course, not. Still, those people who haven’t mastered the art of work on computers think that there is nothing so particularly good about them and that it is enough to know several simple operations to get good job and achieve their goals. But they are wrong. Without PC knowledge it will be absolutely impossible to find application to one’s knowledge and, what is very important, there is no chance of standing competition. There is already a majority of people who are proficient in PC usage, which any employer knows perfectly well. On balance, computers are so great reality of our life that I don’t simply understand the people who don’t want to master it. And it is not hard, of course.

In Mark 2:1-12, the story of healing of a paralytic man is told. Jesus heals this man in front of so-called non-believers in His power. In fact, when He poses the question that â€Å"Why are you thinking these things? Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’? (Mark 2:1-12) There are symbolic reflections of this rhetorical question. On the one hand, Jesus justifies that it is preferable to forgive the sins to heal someone directly. He conveys the message that being the Son of Man, he has the authority and ministry to ‘forgive’ the sins of that paralytic man, however, instead of approaching the healing or the removal of physical ailment, he deals with the matter impressively because he has to give a message to the non-believers in God’s power. He clearly mentions that men have the power to forgive because this ability is God’s virtue. Man is the live reflect ion of God and thus, he can perform the act of forgiveness and become great in life. The important aspect of this story is to show before the people that Jesus has been born with an authority to heal, cure or forgive people and thus, he is passing the message of God to the entire humankind. 3. We are now in a state of experimentation, ‘in which the conjuncture of the strange and the familiar, of the stasis and metaporphosis, plays tricks on our perceptions, our positions, our praxis.’ (Comparoff Pg.3). I will then show the relevance of this question today as I look at how the financial crises has led many people to realise the unsustainability and other numerous political and economic problems of capitalism, and then will go on to address those problems. Following this, I will look at the anti-capitalist movements that are popular today and examine/evaluate socialist theory and how it aims to solve the problems of capitalism. I will then try to understand where socialism has gone wrong, using ethnographic examples and examine if it is an adequate system for solving pol/eco problems of capitalism. I will finally show how, if we look at where it has failed before and look at what academ ics have proposed (in a reformulation of theory, taking account of past empirical examples, and carefully selecting the best..) as a way forward in this time of experimentation and inform the development of a new and relevant political economy for our times (Change). Importance Of Contraception On Sexual Relationships

Thought Assignment #3: Importance of contraception in sexual relationship. I decided to choose Campo-Engelstien’s paper to write about contraception for this assignment because it fits more to answer the questions. Campo-Engelstien’s paper describes how men is biologically, and socially different between women with everything about sex; with their uncontrollable libido about sex and their desire of it. When one is in a sexual relationship with his/her partner, pregnancy is one of the major concerns each might have to think about. Contraception is the main key to prevent the pregnancy unless they are planning to get pregnant. If one person do not agree on preventing pregnancy than it may affect their relationship status as well as their lives. This is the most risky and fastest way to affect one’s life to be clasps and in most cases, it happens in women than men. In my personal opinion, contraception is the key for in every sexual relationship. Getting pregnant i s easy but having and rising up a baby is a total different task. Getting pregnant only requires to have a sex but rising up a baby requires so many things such as money, education, safe environment and providing a good health. Therefore, if both man and woman are not ready or planning to have a baby then, contraception is essential. Moreover, they both have to agree on it. If one is contrasting the other with the idea of contraception then it is less likely to improve or continue their relationship. Italian Art History Essay Example For Students

Italian Art History Essay Since Prehistoric times, humankind has aspired to create drawings that represent emotion and an acute point of view of the world around them. The commencement of art began on cave walls which still remain today in Lascaux, France and Altamira, Spain. Eventually the urge to draw and create art evolved from cave walls to paintings on paper and elaborate sculptures of marble. Each period of art shows the development and the growth of artistic styles and techniques and results in the characteristics that make that era recognizable and important. Before the days of ancient Romes greatness, and Italy, as it is recognized today, the great European country was home of a nation called Etruria. The Etruscans and there civilization prospered between 950 and 300 BCE. in northwestern Italy, between the Arno River and the Tiber River which runs through Rome. The Etruscans developed wealth and power as a nation and then disappeared leaving hardly any documentation and very little evidence of there existence or there downfall. A major factor in discovering any information about there language and culture has been the inscriptions on their monuments, buildings, vast tombs, and the objects they left behind, notably bronze and terra cotta sculptures and polychrome ceramics. Although it has not yet been determined where the Etruscans came from it appears that the bronze sculptures left behind are similar in style to the bronze statues that the Greek are legendary for. Many art historians believe that the similarities in their sculptures and materials prove that Etruscans descended to Italy from Greece. Another form of art from Etruria is seen in the form of clay urns. Cremation and the burial of ashes in clay urns was a common practice before the arrival of the Etruscan era, however the Etruscans had huge ceremonies for the dead and decorated their cinerary urns which was somewhat uncommon before this time period. The urns that were left behind help to tell us many of the cultural traits the Etruria nation embraced. The Artistic and Architectural achievements of the Etruscans have helped scholars to gain a lot of information about the people of Etruria and their history. Another early period in Italian art history is the Roman period. The Roman period, as we know it, begins after the Punic Wars and the subsequent invasion of the Greek cities of the Mediterranean. The Hellenistic styles then current in Greek civilization were adopted. The Romans accepted Greek architecture, as did the Etruscans, but they created their own styles by adding certain aspects, and advancing their tools. The Romans created new types of structures, such as public baths and amphitheaters. Up until the late first century BC gladiatorial combats were held in the Forum, the Circus Maximus, and at other sites. When the games were held in the Forum, temporary wooden stands were put up. In 53 BC the idea emerged to build a theater with permanent seats, thus the concept of an amphitheater was born. The first permanent stone amphitheater in Rome was built by Statilius Taurus in 29 BC. The Romans were able to build larger and more complicated structures than the Greeks with their invention of the arch and the aqueduct. The arch eliminated the need for columns to support heavy roofs. Using arches, the Romans could build huge buildings, long bridges, and long aqueducts that carried water to Roman cities. The Romans also invented concrete, a strong and cheap building material for buildings, arches, walls and vaults. Roman painting and sculpture was influenced strongly by the Greeks. Greek art portrayed lifelike, though idealized, human subjects. Roman sculptures created works that reflected the subjects individual personality. Another concept borrowed from the Greeks was the artistic portrayal of mythological figures, for example Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome are depicted in hundreds of pictures and tapestries from this time period. Another popular mythological figure many artists portrayed was Hercules, created either out of bronze or marble material, which were both materials that Greece is recognized for using. .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650 , .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650 .postImageUrl , .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650 , .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650:hover , .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650:visited , .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650:active { border:0!important; } .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650:active , .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650 .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u35b0d7c3dbc5437430980c3766da5650:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art EssayIn the thirteenth century a new period emerged for Italy, this era was known as the Gothic period. Art during this period was characterised by the styles and attitudes influenced by the Dominican and Franciscan order of monks, founded by Saint Dominic (1170 to 1221) and Saint Francis of Assisi (1181 to 1226). Franciscans are remembered for Saint Francis and his positive influence and compassion. The Dominicans are recognized for the beginning of the Inquisition and the persicuation of eledged heretics. The Gothic period began much of the religious affiliations with art, sculptures, as well as, literature. Gothic architecture began during the twelve century in northern Europe and was known as the french style, it then spread southward to Italy. The term gothic was first used to insult the particular style during the Reformation era. Gothic architecture is most commonly seen in cathedrals and other churches in Europe. The earliest monument of the Italian Gothic style is the great church at Assisi. The Franciscan monastery and the lower and upper church of St Francis were started immediately after his canonization in 1228, and completed in 1253. The lower church contains frescos by Cimabue and Giotto di Bondone. In the Upper church frescos express scenes in the life of St Francis by Giotto and his circle. In order to paint a Fresco the wall or ceiling must be dampened and coated with lime plaster, also referred to as arriccio. Then the painting can be brushed on in red earth pigment, sinopia. Overall a fresco is done in small sections called giorante, which is italian for a days work, it is a very difficult and very time consuming project. Two of arguably the most influential artists of the gothic period were Cenni di Petro (Giovanni) Cimabue 1240-1302 and Giotto di Bondone 1267-1337. They were the first painters who began the idea of an artist creating an individual style, rather than imitating the traditional styles and techniques. They began to take an interest in improving the depiction of realistic features on their subjects. When the Gothic period came to an end it opened the gates to a new era, the Renaissance, meaning rebirth. The Renaissance consists of three parts, the Early Renaissance, the High Renaissance and the Late Renaissance. The Renaissance lasted from the thirteen hundreds until the sixteen hundreds, and is the most recognizable period in Italian art history. In the Gothic and previous periods the artistic styles where just variations on exisisting techniques and borrowed ideas from Greek and other civilizations, however, in the Renaissance increased awareness of classical knowledge created a new resolve to learn by observation and the study of the natural world. Consequently, secular themes became increasingly important to artists. (Rowlands 15) The leading members of the Early Renaissance were Donatello in sculpture, Filippo Brunelleschi in architecture, and Masaccio in painting. One thing they all had in common was their belief in the theoretical foundations of art and the understanding that advancement and growth were essential to the life and significance of art. A major concept in the Early Renaissance was that classical art was a record of successful and failed attempts at capturing the essence of art. Artists of the Early Renaissance wanted to capture the natural world around them using their own observations as subject matter, the challenge of accurate representation brought better proportions, perspective, and most importantly created better usage of light and dark contrasts into the artistic community. Rational inquiry was believed to be the key to success, during the fourteenth century laws of proportion were formed to accuratley display the features of the human body, and to systematize the use of pictorial space. Another basic idea which originated in the Early Reniassance was the concept of idealism, while the artists of this era did focuse on nature and observation, they made an effort to go beyond straightforward transcription of nature, to instill the work of art with ideal, intangible qualities, endowing it with a beauty and significance greater and more permanent than that actually found in nature. .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f , .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f .postImageUrl , .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f , .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f:hover , .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f:visited , .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f:active { border:0!important; } .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f:active , .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u3f4b6cc1b32c9193690ec072a892879f:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Auden's Museum of Fine Art EssayThis characteristic remains as a fundamental of art throughout the Italian Reaissance and particularly today. The High Renaissance sought after the theory of unity, there was no main focal point, this brought balance to the pieces. The High Renaissance is considered the peak of art during the Renaissance, although it did not last more than thirty years. The High Renaissance produced some of the most famous artists such as, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Titian. (Rowlands 18) After the High Renaissance Italian Renaissance art began its downfall, this period was referred to as the Late Renaissance. One major factor to the slow decline of Renaissance art was the sack of Rome in 1527. The sack of Rome was part of the War of the League of Cognac, the war was between the Papal States and the Holy Roman Empire. Pope Clement VII believed that the Holy Roman Empire had Imperial Domination over the papacy. Overall the sack of Rome resulted in more than 45,500 dead, wounded, or captured. This tragedy caused many artists to look for inspiration, and schools of art in locations other than Italy. Anticlassical themes began to emerge during the Late Renaissance period which lead to Mannerism. Mannerism was an aesthetic movement that valued highly refined grace and elegancethe beautiful maniera, or style, from which Mannerism takes its name . Mannerist artists found the need to out do the brilliant and historical work of their predecessors; the result was overdone development that appeared to anxious and overwhelming.

Rookie Of The Year Essays - Cactus League, Jackie Robinson

Rookie Of The Year Who is the rookie this year? Do you think that the Brooklyn Dodgers have had a rough season? With all of the sicknesses and all of the losses. And with the fact that the Cardinals are always in first. They want to win the pennant so bad. The manager Spike wants to win it fairly. They are doing pretty good though. Thrid place isn't a bad one. The Brooklyn Dodgers have been playing hard to get where they are. There were alot of hardships that they all had to over look. They also made an awsome come back to make it to the playoffs, then they beat out the Pitsburg Pirates so the can play the St. Louis Cardnials in the finals. If you wanna find out how they did your just going to have to read on. He doesn't want his players to be drinking anything during the season. If he catches them there in for it deep. The coach will fine the players the first time their caught with fifty dollars. The second time they get suspended and a hundred dollar fine. The third time..well there isn't a third time. When the coach made this statement at the end of a game in the locker room, the most mouthy person on the team even knew that he meant it because Raz didn't say a thing. The coach has also almost caught many people on the team but they get extremely lucky and get away with it. The players think that alcohol is the answer to all the stress after the game. Yet the coach knows that it will only get the players sick and he is only doing this so that the players stay safe for the games. Bones was fined once for alcohol and it wasn't to much his fault. It was because of his roomie who took him out and got him drunk because he thought he was to stressed out. Spike made an example out of Bones and they moved Bones with another room mate. Bones Hathaway was now stuck with an old veteran pitcher and he didn't like it. Mr. MacManus who owned the team was going to suspend Bones Hathaway because Spike was being a hot head. He kept screwing thing up and Mr. MacManus was going to take it out on his team. Luckely Spikes brother Bob was there and cooled Mr. macmanus' temper. The Dodgers have been playing tons of games just so they can win the pentane. All they want is the pentant. They even play games from like ten o'clock at night and can go on till two a.m. The Cardinals are in first, Pirates in second, and the Dodgers in third. They have beaten the Cardinals before but not enough times to move ranks around. They want to face the Cardinals in the World Series for the pentane because they are pretty sure that they can beat them. The Dodgers were actually on a winning streak at one point then their best rookie pitcher became sick. He was one of the reasons they had a winning streak but on the first day they won he had bacon, eggs, and toast. The next game he ate the same breakfast and they won again. So he was being superstitious and ate that breakfast for eleven days straight. The coach gave a long speach about them eating right and he was very upset that his best rookie pitcher was sick. Spike had a talk with Bones Hathaway after he got better and asked him some question. He wanted to make sure that Bones wasn't getting sick because the other team paid him and that Bones was a good hitter but didn't show it because the other team paid him. The last game. Only one game was left for those courageous Brooklyn Dodgers. They made it. They made it all they to the pentane game. It was just them and the St. Louis Cardinals. Before the game their manager Spike game them a little speech. It wasn't much, but it was enough. Spike told the team about what would happen if the won. He told them how great it has been playing ball with them. He also told them that he would rather lose with this team then win with the New York Yankees. Spike told them how happy they made him that they go this far and no matter win or lose he would always love this team.

Sample Conclusion to an Argumentative Essay

Sample Conclusion to an Argumentative EssayA sample conclusion to an argumentative essay is an essay that introduces the reader to a topic or event, explains a theory, and lays out how it relates to the rest of the essay. In many cases, this can be a lengthy section. A good writer who has great ideas and a lot of knowledge about a topic will try to incorporate as much information in a sample conclusion as possible.Good writers tend to know that if they cut the longest article to pieces, they will have something of value in each piece. They will put the longest paragraphs in the beginning of the piece, the most extensive into the middle, and have the shortest pieces at the end. In short, their writing will be coherent. It will follow a pattern.The concluding argument must support the topic being written about. A sample conclusion can provide the best example of this. In many cases, you are more likely to look for an essay that uses this style if you are looking for a standard in style .The ending of a conclusion provides a valuable perspective. This will add to the understanding of the essay. For example, if the ending of the piece is full of generalities, the reader is likely to feel frustrated because he or she cannot see any substance to the article. In many cases, that's not the writer's intention, but it happens.A conclusion provides the foundation of the whole essay. To do that, a writer needs to lay out the basic ideas and apply them in the content. That is usually done in the introduction.A conclusion is just as much of an essay as the body of the work. The points that the writer is trying to convey in the concluding statement should alsobe in the body. If the conclusion fails to support the central idea, then the reader may not see the writer's point and have no reason to continue reading.Good writers want to introduce new ideas and provide information that will add value to the rest of the piece. A conclusion is a chance to show the reader why a certain idea or information is valuable.

Conversely, the EVD background can be traced back in the 1976 simultaneously in Sudan and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as an acute and fatal illness if untreated. However, the countries that have been severely affected are those with weak health systems and inadequate human and infrastructural resources according to Feldmann & Feldmann (2013). Plato Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words - 1

Plato - Essay Example In an attempt to analyze the life and ideas of Plato, this paper thus purposes to reflect on chapter 4 of the book â€Å"Living Philosophy: A Historical Introduction to philosophical ideas†. Having been born around 428 BCE in Athens, Plato revolutionized the way of thinking both in Greece and the rest of the world. In his idea of rationalism, Plato regarded reasoning as the cornerstone source and test for knowledge. In his rationalism idea, Plato taught that there is existence of certain truths that cannot be changed, and there is a need for intellectual understanding to identify the truths. These truths were thus believed to be the governing forces of humanity and the universe. Drawing an analogy with the sleep to elaborate his viewpoint of Immortality, Morality, and the Soul, he understood immortality of the soul in terms of reincarnation. Just as a person can wake up after sleep, he believed the dead would wake up in another body (Vaughn, P. 52). Among Platos famous dialogues as depicted in the book â€Å"Living Philosophy: A Historical Introduction to philosophical ideas† is his notion of the Republic. He draws most of his inference of the Republic from the works of Socrates thus coming to an argument point that a republic is a society of people who are governed by justice and fulfilment in life in terms of happiness. Thus, members of the republic must all work together socially and economically to ensure every member is justly and fairly treated according to one’s contribution to the

Hitler :: essays research papers

Adolph Hitler was responsible for World War II and the massacre of millions whom he thought to be inferior. He was also one of the most powerful and influential leaders of the 20th Century. Hitler single handedly built up his Nazi party into a massive power, which would eventually control most of Europe and North Africa. How is it, that a man of such evil had so much influence and control? We would like to think that never again will such tragedy occur. Never, would we let such a man into power. Yet, it happened in the 1930’s, only 70 years ago. What factors resulted in Hitler rising to power? Rather than one single reason, it was the perfect combination of luck and leadership, at just the right time.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  In Austria, 1889, Klara and Alois became the proud parents of a baby boy – Adolph. As a young boy, he attended elementary school at the Benedictine monastery at Lambach. His early school years went well. Adolph earned good grades, became a choirboy, and anticipated one day becoming a Catholic priest. As he got older, he began getting into serious quarrels with his father. This fighting, he later claimed, caused his marks to slip. By the age of sixteen, he had quit school.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Once out of school, Adolph refused to find work or learn a trade. Rather, he spent his time going to the Opera, and reading. For hours on end, he would read books on German history and mythology. As a result of the reading, he soon found himself very concerned with the world’s tribulations. A school friend later recalled: â€Å"Hitler was always up against something and at odds with the world. I never saw him taking anything lightly.†   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  At the eager age of eighteen, Hitler had a new dream. He wanted to become an artist, as this was now his one true passion. The Vienna Academy of Fine Arts quickly turned him down after his entrance examination. This rejection would hurt him for his remaining life.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Another devastating event followed shortly after; the death of his beloved mother only four days prior to Christmas. Hitler later wrote: â€Å"It was a dreadful blow. I had honored my father, but my mother I had loved. Her death put a sudden end to all my high-flown plans. Poverty and hard reality compelled me to take a quick decision. I was faced with the problem of somehow making my own living.
